Gulf Coast .NET User Group

Hello GCDNUG members!

Come on now let’s be truthful…who got fooled this month? If you didn’t then you are now! This is Duffy, your VP of operations and entertainment! Time keeps on slipping this year and we have already made into the rainy month of April. Good news there’s lots of good news and hopefully not a lot of teachers paying attention.

Some good things going on in the world of .Net is the announcement of the major update for Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1. With these new updates a lot of new and great features are added in to make our lives a little easier. One I am sure everyone is excited about…Cortana. She is not just a Halo fantasy anymore guys and gals! If you want to learn more you can check out this video from Microsoft Build 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pHi5PuOkIU .

In related news we have a lot of great presentations coming up and possibly some of our members speaking at other User Groups and code camps. With all this excitement a lot of big events have been announced so start your planning to attend some soon.

To finish it off, as our beloved leader would say, that is it for this round. Always remember keep on coding, keep on learning, and keeping on having fun.
