Gulf Coast .NET User Group

Hello, User Groupies

I hope everyone is enjoying the crisp autumn weather.  It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving, Christmas, 2014, and the reversal of the sun's magnetic field are upon us.  I am looking forward to the turkey, presents, champagne, and coronal mass ejections associated with these great events.

November is turning out to be a particularly busy month.  A number of GCDNUG members attended the Tallahassee Code Camp 9 this past weekend, which included presentations from the following members.

Dave Perkins - "My First Windows Phone 8 Application"
Phillip Kirkland - "Developing Windows Store Apps with Windows Azure Mobile Service"
Steven Adams - "User Experience – The Secret Sauce of Extraordinary Projects"

This coming weekend four groupies are heading to Tampa for the Nokia DVLUP Camp.

Given the busy November schedule, Bryan and I have moved the GCDNUG meeting to Wednesday, December 11th.  Jerry Cox and Tyler Lesperance have thrown their respective hats in the ring as presenters for the December meeting.  Jerry will be covering "Unit Testing with Visual Studio 2012".  I have extended a user group meeting invitation to Kathleen Sebelius (Secretary of Health and Human Services) for help with the testing of Tyler will cover "Beginning JavaScript for Front-End Web Development".  Tyler, a JavaScript expert, will help you go from a complete newbie to being able to implement basic but useful JavaScript in any front-end web development project.

Please note that our meetings will no longer be held in the Bank of America building on Eglin Parkway.  Bit-Wizards has a new home on 13 Memorial Parkway.  Going forward, the GCDNUG meetings will be held at the new location (map link below).
