Gulf Coast .NET User Group

* I just wanted to remind everyone that GCDNUG will be meeting this Wednesday night at 6 PM. Hope you can make it learn some great info about VS 2012 and TFS/Azure deployments!

Hola, all!

Well, it’s been quite a while since our last email and meeting so I wanted to update everyone on some recent changes to the GCDNUG. First off, I’ve taken over the role of President and Head Face-Smasher on the email/meeting assembly line. I’ve been involved with the group for a number of years and have always enjoyed being a part of the local .NET community.  I’ll be keeping a similar format to the group and meetings, with a few new twists here and there. Just try and calm your enthusiasm!

Next up, Mark West has stepped up to be the group’s VP and will be helping keep this jalopy rolling. Mark has been a regular at meetings over the past few years and is a great developer with lots of good info to pass on. You can learn all of Mark’s deepest secrets and fears here.

Finally, I figured we better have a meeting soon before everyone turns gray and goes back to programming in COBOL. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, April 24 @ 6:00 PM at the Bit-Wizards Corporate Office (map). I will be presenting the first part of the night talking about VS 2012 and some of the great functionality the latest IDE brings. Matt Young will be following me with detailing VS 2012, Azure, and TFS publishing.  The night is going packed full of good info so we hope you can make it!
